The excitement for a future of possibilities
Hi, I’m Corinne Edwards, I’ve been working with Chris probably for the last 10 years.
He was recommended to me by my dad, he’d done a great job for my dad in the past. That was the main reason I went to Chris, for advice for myself.
Chris has helped me with quite a few things, but in particular, I’d got a big concern. I mean this in the most positive way but my Nan died at 58, my Mum at 57. It was a big dream of mine to be able to finish, ideally at 50, to retire at 50. When the pension rules changed, that changed to 55 so I just reached out to Chris and just asked him, what he could do to support me in getting there. That was a big priority of mine.
As well as looking out for my children because my personal circumstances have changed over the last few years, so it was just making sure that my children would be provided for in the future as well. I wanted him to look at the whole of my situation, so I could have a lot of enjoyment time.
Chris has put me on track to achieve my goal at 55, which is just something that I’ve always dreamt about. Now it really is in touching distance. I’ve only got a couple of years left to go it just means that I’m getting really excited. I wouldn’t be able to do that if it wasn’t for Chris and the advice that he’s given to me.
This is just meant that I go travelling, it’s something I’ve wanted to do for years, I didn’t get the enjoyment of doing that. I left school at 16 and went straight into work and not had the luxury of being able to go travelling around the world. That’s the dream, and he’s been able to put that in place for me. It now means that I can actually do that, but not just for now, I want to be able to carry that on and he’s put plans in place for after that. So, I can keep on doing everything that I want to do up to 80 and beyond.
I definitely wouldn’t be on track to retiring at 55 if it wasn’t for Chris. I wouldn’t be able to afford to. He’s been able to sit down with me, and we’ve been able to plan out every step of the way.
What Chris has done is put me on the straight and narrow to make sure that I’ve got enough funds to last me the rest of my life. We spent a lot of time asking me questions about where I see myself in five years, 10 years, 15 years and until the end of my life and also what’s important to me? How often would I like a new car? Do I want to move house? All the things that I probably wouldn’t have even thought about. Without Chris, I wouldn’t have been able to achieve it.
Now I’m just really excited about the next phase of my life. It’s literally two and a little bit years away. Everything that I’ve ever dreamed of is now in touching distance.
I would most definitely recommend Chris to other people, in fact, I have time and time again and they’ve even gone on to recommend other people.
I just have absolute complete confidence in Chris’s advice and recommendations. I think for me the most important thing is, I know his background, I know who has helped in the past. I have every little last bit of confidence in what he does for me, and in the recommendations he makes to me. He always puts my mind at rest. It really is that professional attitude he’s got that’s supported me over the years and I don’t feel like I feel confident in managing my finances without him being there. He’s become a really good friend.
Everything that I've ever dreamed of is now in touching distance
